Stora Trummispriset 2024

The legendary musician Nicke Andersson is awarded the annual Rockpodden’s Great Drummer Award 2024.

Nicke has been a driving force behind some of Sweden’s most iconic bands, including Entombed, The Hellacopters, Lucifer, Imperial State Electric and The Solution, to name just a few. His impact on the rock and metal scene as both a drummer and multi-instrumentalist is unparalleled.

The award is given to one of the fantastic Swedish drummers who ”for many years enriched our lives both on stage and on record.”

This commission included designing the prize, which needed to feel grand yet work as a recurring concept for future winners. By combining a traditional diploma with the drum as a central instrument, all in gold to symbolize a first prize, the design became an elegant and fitting tribute to these exceptional artists.
