Truckfighters – ”Universe”

The sound of Swedish fuzz-rockers Truckfighters has been described as classic desert rock, similar to bands like Dozer, Fu Manchu, and Kyuss.

”Universe” is the title of the fourth studio album by Truckfighters, released in February 2014 on Fuzzorama Records, Sony Music and Rough Trade. As a teaser, ”The Chairman EP” was released in October 2013.

The album was released on both gatefold vinyl and CD an a long line of different limited editions. The vinyl came in yellow, red and transparent limited to 500 each and collector’s edition 10″ gatefold cover. Even the CD came in JewelCase, DigiPak and a deluxe edition with Truckfighters patch.

The visual interpretation of the title is the universe as an infinite and eternal circle. This was illustrated by a number of mathematical formulas and drawings that would also point out the almost occult soundscape the band operates within. The album cover itself also makes a point of this with the all-seeing eye in focus.

Also designed for the ”Universe” cycle; a lot of merch, backdrops, skate decks, snowboards etc.
