Skid Row Spirits

Skid Row catapulted into the rock scene with their self-titled debut album in 1989. With explosive energy and hit anthems like ”18 and Life” and ”Youth Gone Wild” they defined the metal era. Their sophomore album, ”Slave to the Grind,” debuted at No. 1 on the charts, showcasing their musical evolution. The band’s resilience and chart-topping success make them icons of the ’80s and ’90s metal landscape, with their music continuing to resonate with fans worldwide.

For the Skid Row Spirits collection, I delved into the band’s legacy, channeling the energy of their smash hit ”18 and Life” into a distinctive premium rum aptly named after the song. The design echoes the dark lyrics of the track, creating a bottle that’s both bold and memorable.

On the other hand, the vodka, dubbed ”Midnight Vodka,” pays homage to Skid Row’s nocturnal vibe. Through careful art direction, I aimed to capture the essence of rock rebel outlaws and the thrill of the Midnight hour – a blend of visual design and rock ’n’ roll spirit.

Throughout the creative journey, I crafted not only the ad material for the prominent launch but also designed merchandise like plectrums and decks of cards. Each piece maintains a distinct red thread, weaving a visual connection that echoes the spirit of the Skid Row brand theme.
